$50 Fee/Boat/Test Date for motorboat testing at Lake Ming for one day only. Valid only on Thursday mornings 8am-11am only. Hot Boat Test and Tune is only available at Lake Ming on Thursdays 8am to 11am. The Hot Boat Test and Tune Permit must be purchased prior to testing/tuning your watercraft on Lake Ming. Please contact the Parks Administration office at 661-868-7000 to finalize your permit date. Once your permit is finalized with the Parks Administration office, your permit receipt will show your test and tune date and CF number. Kern County Ranger's will verify your date for testing onsite. You must show your confirmation receipt from the Parks Admin office for verification your test/tune date.
